This piece is a study in remote collaboration during a time of mandatory retreat. Typically, the Spring is a time to "clean out" and unthaw, making room for new growth and flexibility. Being that this project came out of an improvisation to finding a solution for an early ending to a school semester and cancelled concert of new works, the University Of South Carolina student performers as well as the instructor / director / musician Greg Stuart – made it easy enough to make something entirely new, regardless of the circumstances.

This sound collage moves through nebulous waves of meditative textures, into brief chaos of guttural sounds, transcending an otherwise bodily self-awareness, to ultimately resolving into a peaceful cacophony.
